I am looking for an alternative to Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS).
In case you don't know what this is, it's a system that rotates Local Admin passwords every so often for a single local admin within an AD domain. On the face, this is great because you have totally random passwords being generated that will change over time, and every workstation has a different local admin password. The issue is that LAPS not only transmits these passwords in plaintext, but also stores them in plaintext.
What I'm looking for is a system that has the same features, but employs the use of encryption to secure these passwords, and is also preferably low-cost.
