Dell Launches Its Very Own Microsoft Surface Killer

Microsoft invented the 2-in-1 device category in 2012 with the Surface RT and although at first not a lot of companies were interested in it, now everyone seems to be at least considering bringing such a product to the market. As a key Microsoft partner, Dell just couldn’t stay away from this particular device category, and at this year’s CES, the company introduced its very own Surface killer. The so-called Dell Latitude 5285 looks and works just like a Microsoft Surface, while also featuring hardware that makes it quite an alternative to Redmond’s original device. For example, the new Dell 2-in-1 model comes with a 12.3-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and is powered by a series of Intel 7-generation Core processors. The device also boasts an Intel HD Graphics 620 card, as well as up to 16GB DDR3 memory. In terms of storage, customers can choose up to 1TB SSD.
