Sony Promises to Equip Upcoming Xperia Phones with 3.5mm Headphone Jacks

In the past year, more and more smartphone manufacturers have presented their latest phones that didn’t incorporate the famous 3.5mm headphone jack. Motorola, Apple and others started a trend and it seems that more and more manufacturers are following suit, including Samsung with its upcoming Galaxy S8. The good news is that Sony’s Xperia series won’t be joining the group of smartphones without a 3.5mm headphone jack. Company executives stated during a press even in Japan last month that Sony won’t be ditching the 3.5mm jack in its upcoming phones for the foreseeable future, according to a recent report. Instead, the company will be focusing on providing improvements to its proprietary high-resolution audio products and service, some of which might be showcased during CES 2017.
