LG G6 Without Modular Functionality is “Coming Soon”

CES 2017 is a good occasion for smartphone makers to present their latest innovations and talk about new products to come. LG Chief Technology Officer Skott Ahn stated that the G6 will be coming “in the very near future”. The smartphone will apparently ditch the modular design found on its predecessor, considering that the LG G5 and Friends accessories didn’t do so great on the market. Modular capabilities on smartphones is attractive on the market, as the Moto Z and MotoMods illustrated last year, but somehow the G5 failed to hit the mark and leave a lasting impression on consumers. The G6 will stray away from the modular concept and instead focus on “aesthetics and usability”, which means a somewhat new design and easier to use phone.
