(I read the posting rules and I know this is Windows-specific but I feel like a lot of Linux users would appreciate this knowledge. Sorry if this isn't compliant.)
i use arch btw, with i3wm
I just found out that Windows has actual workspaces (they're called Desktops). Since I have to use Windows at work I can now have similar functionality to i3wm which helps me stay organized.
Window Management
- Snapping Window: WIN + LEFT or RIGHT # Can be used with UP or DOWN to get into quadrants.
- Switch to Recent Window: ALT + TAB # Holding shows a list of windows. Let go and the selected window will be focused.
Workspaces
- Task View: WIN + TAB # UI to see workspaces.
- Create New Virtual Desktop: WIN + CTRL + D
- Close Current Virtual Desktop: WIN + CTRL + F4
- Switch Virtual Desktop: WIN + CTRL + LEFT or RIGHT # You have to cycle through workspaces unfortunently.
