The Krita Foundation announced the general availability of the first point release to the Krita 3.1 stable series of the open-source, free, and cross-platform digital painting software. A major release, Krita 3.1 is the most advanced version of the application featuring full support for Apple's Mac OS X operating system, the ability to render animations to MKV, OGG, MP4, or GIF files through the powerful FFmpeg multimedia backend, a brand-new color selector, a stop-based gradient editor, and much more.
