Not sure how I should elaborate the question. If I understand correctly, major distros like Fedora, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS are maintained by an organisation, each also provide a piece of their own intelligence (I mean their own made packages) in their repository to use, and they're also most likely to be included in the other distros' repositories. And these organisations may include official customer service as well.
