📚 Linux + 4k Monitor: Solution?

So my problem is the following: I have a Samsung 28 inch 4k monitor. I want to use linux on my pc cause windows isnt an option for me anymore. The problem with linux (or at least ubuntu 20.04LTS) is that everything is pretty tiny on a 4k monitor this size. I already enabled fractional scaling and it works out pretty well (i like 125 - 150%). The only problem is that applications like wine (winecfg) and also applications running with wine are still on the normal 100% scaling.
Is there any good way of getting around all this? Is there any distro, any desktop environment etc. that can deal really well with big 4k monitors? Any answer is appreciated.
