Huawei was banned in the United States back in mid-May 2019, but since then, the American government has been going after several other companies which officials claimed they had ties with the Chinese authorities. The latest big tech name to be blacklisted is Xiaomi, with the company added to the Entity List back in January when the U.S. government decided to flag it as a Communist Chinese Military Company (CCMC). Supposed to come into effect on March 15, the ban has now been suspended by US Federal Judge Contreras, who ruled in the favor of Xiaomi and decided to temporarily halt the original decision of the White House administration.
