Linux with Ryzen 3600 & ASUS TUF x470-PLUS

Hi Reddit!

Facts:

Microsoft Windows keeps annoing me. Due to that fact i consider putting a second HDD/SSD (not yet 100% sure which one) in my tower and install a linux distribution. ATM i am running on this hardware:

• Ryzen 5 3600
• Mainboard: ASUS TUF x470-Plus
• 8 GB DDR4 RAM
• GPU: ASUS Dual RX580 4GB
• 530 Watt PSU

so far (= 2 years) the win10 64bit OS runs stable

Question 1:

do i have to expect problems when pairing this setup with a linux distri? would go for Ubuntu, since im rather inexperienced with linux in general. had a bit of fun with a raspi but aside from that im rather new to the linux-playground.

Question 2:

is Ubuntu a good choice for this setup and my experience level?
