I dual-booted Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with Windows 10 yesterday. I'll need to use a linux environment for college CS courses, and I want to get used to "pure" linux (I've been using WSL2 for some time).

Ubuntu has frozen on me thrice in less than 24 hours, I did the REISUB thing every time. Should I just try reinstalling Ubuntu altogether? There's a few more issues, like the brightness control keys on my laptop keyboard not working. I really want to get in on real linux, but a part of me just wants to go back to WSL2, idk man.
