Hi, i tried for the last days to get my wifi working but to no avail.
After some research i read that i am not the only one having problems with the Realtek WIFI RTL8821CE Chip (i got the RFE2 variant of it) and there was a custom made driver on github.
However i read that the kernel 5.12 would have support for the chip trough the rtw88 module, so that it should work out of the box.
I just freshly installed Fedora 34 on my laptop (with a connection via ethernet) and updated to kernel 5.13.8, however i was not able to get the wifi to work in a stable manner.
The output of dmesg | grep rtw reports failed to send h2c: command which leads me to the assumption there is still a problem with the chip driver.
Therefore i am curious in your experience running the latest kernels with that wifi chip, does it work for you? Is that chip not supported via kernel versions 5.12+ and i just got it wrong?
Would be happy to read your experiences with it.
PS: I know there are a lot of threads about it at help forums, however these are already ~2 years old
