๐ Scaling problems in Linux Mint

So I recently installed Linux Mint on my second SSD for experimental purposes, possibly a better alternative to Windows.
Oh boy have I been having endless problems with it. My first and probably the most simple, yet infuriating problem is the scaling. I have a 4k monitor and everything is so damn small, so I adjust the fractural scaling to 150%, oh look I can see everything now, but the resolution has dropped substantially, instead of making everything bigger, it just lowered my resolution making everything blurry like itโs just done a lazy job of scaling things for me. I thought the point of scaling was to change the scale of what I can see on my screen, not actually changing the res to make it bigger.
Second problem, itโs downright glitchy, moving windows around looks gross, i get a really horrible buzzing sound every now and then coming out of my speakers and sometimes the desktop starts flickering for no reason.
I really really want to enjoy it and use it as an alternative but I just keep getting thrown off by these such simple problems.
Anyways, if anyone has suggestions for my problem(s) please do enlighten.
