I have 2 laptops at the moment. One has windows 10 and GTA V and the other has Ubuntu 16.04 on it. My task is to have a script that takes screenshots from the windows PC and send it as an images file inside the ubuntu's shared folder called gta_live.
As of now I have created the shared folder on Ubuntu which I can access from windows and can manually add and delete files from the windows PC so I can tell the connection between the PCs is fine.
The script I am using is able to save said screenshots if I give the script a path to a folder inside windows. The issue is when I give the path to the folder that is being shared on the network. For some reason no screenshots are being saved there at all.
The format im trying to use for the shared network path is: \\IP address of the Ubuntu PC\gta_live\images
I have made sure if the permissions are set correctly on the Ubuntu PC multiple times now. However the problem still remains. The only conclusion I can come to right now is that I'm I using an incorrect format for the path. Although trying to search on Google tells me the format I am using is the same.
