📚 What API or program would you like to see re-implemented on top of another platform?

I am curious since a guy told me that he would like to see SWT (a Java-based graphical toolkit) re-implemented on top of Qt (another non-Java graphical toolkit).

So basically what I mean is taking an existing program or API and re-implementing it so that it works based on a different underlying library, platform, or even OS (Linux).

I saw also others wanting e.g. GIMP ported to Qt for example.

WINE is a great example of accomplishments in re-implementations of APIs.

What would be your choices?
