Best Quicken alternative in 2022?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to make the switch from Windows to Linux. I've started by coming up with a list of applications that I use frequently, and making sure there is a good alternative available for Linux Mint, which is the distro I plan to try first. I want an actual program; I do not want something web-based.

I've found good replacements for everything except Quicken. Some look abandoned based on their websites or the dates of their last releases, and others look to be only available on other distros. HomeBank looked promising, but when I went to try it out on Windows, my anti-virus flagged its web site.

I saw Gnucash and tried it out on Windows, but it uses double-entry accounting, and I do not want that at all. I just want something simple, which will allow me to track spending by category, create a budget, and give me a quick look at how much money I have (or owe) in each account.

Tracking stocks is a bonus, but not required at all.

What else is out there for Linux Mint? Quicken is literally the last thing keeping me from switching.
