๐ Which flavor to choose

I've been outside of computing for about 6 years. And I need to crunch Principle Component Analysis through about 10 million lines of data. My whimpy Windows laptop can't do the heavy lifting.
I've got a perl script which opens the file, reads it in just fine, but chokes when I need to do some regressions. I'm using perl because that's what I cut my teeth on in the 90s.
In the past, I've rented server space from IONOS, for $5/month, which I'm going to do again. They offer about a dozen flavors, and I don't know which flavor might best serve me to crunch data. I'd like to preserve memory (for the process). I don't need X Windows (though it would be nice) I wasn't able to get it going last time, so I don't plan to waste any time there again. I don't plan to install a DB, but I might need to. Currently, I'm looking at dual core 8GB RAM, 80GB disk. $0.0417 per hour, or $30/month. I only plan to run for a few days, until my job is done, then let it go.
