So I installed Zorin distro some 2 months back and while installing I had made the required partitions as it was a clean install for me. And now since few days, I was having issues with my laptop so I thought of giving it a fresh start and tried installing using the same installation media as last time around.
Now I deleted the root and swap partition and created new one and assigned the old home partition as the new home. The installation went smooth but upon restart my files arent there. I checked gparted and there's a partition that is using some 120 GB of data but it aint showing up. The current build has some 20 MB as the total size of
/home for se reason.
I know the files are still there somewhere and not deleted so I tried reinstalling the entire thing again but still the same and those files are really really important for me and I dont even have a backup of them. How do I extract/recover them?
