๐ How might you build a cohesive ecosystem of devices with Linux?

Hey, I've been thinking about what kinds of things can be done to construct a cohesive desktop > tablet > mobile phone > smart watch ecosystem using Linux. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, but am not quite sure where to start.
My gaming laptop uses Arch Linux (it's more of a hobby machine that I mess with, but it also happens to be where I do most of my PC gaming), and I have a raspberry pi that I mess with sometimes (setting it up as a web server, using it for emulators, using it for a Kali attack box to play around and learn). I've been familiar with and using Linux somewhat casually since 2007, but by and large I tend to use Apple products for my daily drivers. I want to move away from Apple, and create my own ad hoc ecosystem within Linux.
I have a Mac, an iPhone, an Apple Watch, an iPad, and AirPods because they all work so seamlessly together. It isn't perfect (nothing ever is), and my impression is that this ecosystem Apple has designed is first and foremost to keep people on their platform. I get it. I also get that Apple stuff is expensive, and a lot of people despise the company. Personally, I enjoy the OSes, and I enjoy how amazingly smooth it is to drift between the devices. Here's an example, and these are the kinds of things I'd like to recreate with Linux (and Android):
- When I take photos or download images on my phone, or tablet, they're automatically available on all my devices.
- My text messages send simultaneously to all devices, including my laptop, so I can text people (whether or not they're on iMessage) using just my computer or tablet with only an internet connection. They update at the same time, and interestingly, read reports update simultaneously too: in other words, if I read a message on my laptop, the notification goes away from all other devices, and it's marked read.
- I have a Library of PDFs that automatically syncs between devices.
- I have, but rarely use, a cloud storage system where I can store and access any files on all my devices (this one is the one I already have solutions for in the shape of DropBox or Google Drive; cloud storage solutions are a dime a dozen today).
- My podcasts and Music can sync automatically between devices. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and when I am out and about, it's on my phone, when I get home, I can easily switch to my computer and pick up right where I left off.
- My calendar syncs across everything automatically, and sends notifications and events right to my watch when the alerts happen, which include things like links to maps so I can route navigation through my watch as I drive.
- One important thing with my watch is that I can quickly access heart monitoring stuff, including an ECG, which can very quickly be emailed to my doctor, and automatically syncs with my phone as soon as it's recorded.
- My watch can also track things like exercise, blood oxygen, etc.
So I'm just trying to figure out if it's possible to recreate an environment that easily and quickly syncs between a variety of platforms, using the same applications. I mentioned Android above, but I would prefer to do it all with Linux distributions instead. Is this a pipe dream? Are there things I can do for these that would help this ecosystem function smoothly amongst all devices?
