I also used to not understand the hate for snaps until i started using ubuntu. I would remove the snap for firefox because i wanted the binary. I type in sudo apt install firefox AND IT INSTALLS THE FUCKING SNAP PACKAGE. I also didnt realize how bad the preformace was of snaps. Both flatpaks and snaps are awful in terms of desktop integration.

Dear canonical i switched to fedora because it gives me a choice. (and also because snaps just kinda suck in every way)
