📚 Using VRAM as storage in 2022?

I have an NVIDIA 1650 Super with 4GiB of VRAM. Since I don't do any gaming on it anymore, the VRAM usage never exceeds 512MiB.
Not using over 3GiB of VRAM is a waste, so I was wondering whether I could allocate a certain amount of it to the OS and use that as storage (similar to a RAM disk). Writing to VRAM is really fast, so using it for compiling software would be awesome. Is this at all possible?
