So I have a nvme SSD and 1TB HDD on my system, I have Windows installed in SSD and have data in HDD too, but there's around 300gb of free space on HDD.

I was wondering if I could partition the free space and install linux onto it and without grub so if I want to boot into linux I could use the boot-key on my system and by default it would boot into windows.

I'm newbie to linux, any help would be appreciated.
