So I was thinking about taking a course on coding soon, And was wondering. I have seen some very cheap second hand laptops. Do you guys think getting a cheap laptop is worth it to learn Linux?

I know I could just dual boot with my gaming PC, but that honestly just seems a little inconvenient. The laptop obviously won't be the fastest thing ever, but I hear Linux can run quite well on low power computers though. So is it worth getting something cheap to get my feet wet?

Having a cheep laptop would also be useful for the coursework I'll imagine because I can use it at the school. So what do you guys think?
