A vulnerability was found in Mozilla Firefox up to 48. It has been classified as critical. Affected is the function nsBMPEncoder::AddImageFrame of the component Image Data Handler. The manipulation leads to memory corruption.
This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2016-5278. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. There is no exploit available.
