Sorry if this isn't the place to post this lol it's just a rant.
I knew about linux existence in 2012, my first distro was ubuntu, after learning many things and actually using only linux distros i went back to windows months after because i always had different issues that i never had with windows, then a week ago i wanted to try again linux distros, i wanted to try debian but it didn't detect my mediatek wifi card and couldn't fix it, neither in my old laptop, then ubuntu mate got stuck at installation so i never got to try it lol, then i tried fedora and tried to run the media check before installing but i only got "Failed" so i started to get fustrated again lol, but i still went ahead with the install because i really want to use linux alongside windows, and everything went smoothly, the install was the fastest i have ever seen, and completely easy and it was the only OS that actually detected my mediatek card, including windows lol so i was so exited and now i'm a fedora fanboy, then i ran into some problems lol, my favorite browser is edge and i have everything in it and saw that it could be installed in fedora so i did and the touchpad gestures didn't work, the touchpad scroll si way too fast on internet browsers including mozilla, but everywhere else was fine and i couldn't find a way to use 125% scaling and everything looks so tiny, i asked for help in the fedora sub and many nice peolpe helped me but nothing worked or was broken, like the scaling fix made everything blurry, so now i'm back to windows hoping that those issues get fixed because gnome is my favorite DE and that's the one i want to use lol
