📚 Arch-like stable(r) distros?
I'm a huge fan of Arch/artix. I've been using linux for about 12 years mostly on Debian, but switched to Arch this past summer and its been very rewarding/informative. I use mostly suckless and suckless-type software (dwm,st,etc..) and prefer simple unix terminal based programs to GUI ones.
A while ago I updated Arch and had problems with it breaking and after it happening a few times after updates I burned out and stopped using computers. I'm looking for something more stable than Arch but still has most packages. Bleeding edge doesn't really matter as much. I'm considering a base Fedora install, or even FreeBSD ( I know FreeBSD won't have nearly as many programs avail as linux)
The AUR has a huge reason why I use Arch, and it would suck to use a OS that doesn't have what I need. I like running a lean system, maybe thats why I was having problems with updates as I was new to Arch. I don't mind how "hard" the system is to install, but I don't have time for gentoo lol.
