📚 How do you guys "backup" your installation?
That's still something I wonder and I don't really know an optimal way to do it.
I have mega installed and backing up my home and some configuration files I know I'll miss if I wanna reinstall or try another distro or whatever.
But I use so many utilities day to day that I might even forget something is a separate utility.
Zsh config files come to mind. I have my terminal configured my way. I back it up using mega. But I'm afraid copy pasting files if I need won't be enough.
tldr is another one. No real need to backup, but I might forget to install it once I'm on a new installation. One can always simply do that, but my questions revolves more around of how do I keep the state of my machine the way I like it on a new installation?
Or even Terminator. I have it up and running on my Kubuntu installation, but it comes with Konsole. How am I supposed to backup Terminator and, as soon as I have a new install, have Terminator as my default terminal, with my customizations?
(Never tried NixOS, but it appears to be kinda easy to do something like what I'm saying here)
