I like the tiling concept a lot.
But almost all tiling managers need a lot of up-front and/or ongoing investment in terms of configuration and customization. I actually don't want any of that. (inb4 "wtf are you doing on /r/linux").
IMO the ability to customize is good, but more importantly you should get something that just works out of the box with good defaults.
Which tiling WMs fit that description? The only one I have found so far is PopOS's Gnome Shell extensions, and their upcoming CosmicDE which doesn't entirely count yet as it's not even alpha.
