Apple Struggles to Attract App Developers for Vision Pro

The number of apps available for the Apple Vision Pro is significantly lower than the number available for previous Apple products like the iPhone and iPad at similar points in their lifecycles. While there are currently over 2,000 apps available for Vision Pro, this number falls short of the app library growth experienced by the iPad and iPhone in their first few months. The iPad had over 20,000 apps available by mid-2010, while the iPhone reached 10,000 apps by the end of 2008. Analysts say that there could be several reasons for Vision Pro's slower app development. The device's high price point of $3,500 might be limiting the potential user base, hence making it less attractive for developers compared to platforms with billions of users. Vision Pro sales have been lower than expected. It is currently in a similar state to Huawei's Android and iOS rival, HarmonyOS. The Vision Pro's success, regardless of its price, will ultimately depend on the content available.
