So heres the short version: my laptop was supposed to come with two m.2 nvme slots but only came with one because HP has so many models of the same laptops you cant get straight facts (I bought it for 500$ on a black friday sale) , it has two USB 3 slots, and a micro SD card slot. right now it has 512 gb NVME 65% full, I have a 128gb kingstone USB drive as a backup and for timeshifts, but realistically what is the best:... (best value for price, longevity of life, durability, doesn't die randomly. I dont use cloud services for storage, I keep all my documents and photos downloaded) ...way to upgrade my storage? I could:
A get a bigger USB 3.0 kingdtone drive for about 59$ (not bad)
B: get a microUSB card, or
C: get a 2TB new m.2 NVME SSD and transfer everything over, (pricey, they cost a lot) or
D: also I could get an external HDD and plug it in via USB 3.0.
or E: a brilliant idea you share in the comments :D (seriously please do I need advice, thank you!)
any ideas? These are just the ideas I have presently but if there's anything I am not thinking of let me know!
I am running Linux Mint 22 on a HP pavillion laptop with 16 gb ram a Geforce RTX 3050 and 512 GB NVME m.2 ssd
