Are you kidding me?

Installed Mint. Got it working, installed what i think my dad needs from this old laptop. Restarted. No wifi... WTF? Ok, i go to check what is going on in a place that seems to be right, network connections. Are you telling me... that this thing does not have wifi menu, where you can select a network, it does not scan networks and give you a list of them? You have to... use terminal commands to do that? In 2024? To find a wifi network that i was already connected to once. I only rebooted it.

I google instructions.. God damn.. All of them point to terminal commands... TO FIND A WIFI NETWORK? Is this the state of Linux in 2024? TERMINAL COMMANDS? No scanning, no GUI? You find previously used connections and you can't.. CONNECT TO THE NETWORK thru that list?? IT IS JUST A LIST? WTF? Who needs just a list of previously used connections, so quickly accessible? Why is that the first and only thing that pops up when i right click network settings?

I have never had problems finding wifi in any other OS. But all the google results.. seriously say that i have to use terminal commands.. and i have no idea why i would like to see a list, do i also need to copy all the parameters myself? Why does this part suck SO BAD? And does this mean that i have to do this everytime i start it? Why isn't there a simple way to find wifi networks like IN EVERY DEVICE I HAVE EVER OWNED.
