Joro brings nearly two decades of deep database experience, having worked with MySQL since 2006 in roles spanning optimizer development, protocol and security work, and technical leadership. Born and based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, Joro shares how early access to computing behind the Iron Curtain shaped his career and led him into database engineering.
