USB Modem in Linux

Linux Tipps vom 13.06.2018 um 14:54 Uhr | Quelle reddit.com

I have a devolo microlink 56k fun usb modem connected to RedHat.

I see it in the output of lsusb;

Bus 004 Device 009: ID 0483:7554 STMicroelectronics 56k SoftModem

However, there is nothing in the device (connect led or data led), I checked the line. It is working.

I didn't install any driver, I think it is a drive problem.

Do you have any recommendation for driver?

Bonus question: As soon as I plug it to the same usb port, physical device will be always same mount point under /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/ isn't it? (like /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/4-12)

Thanks in advance
