iPhone Ultra Not Delayed to 2027, Claims New Leak

Reports around Apple’s first foldable iPhone continue to shift, but one leaker now says claims of a major iPhone Ultra launch delay are false. The device, which many expect to arrive as Apple’s first foldable iPhone, has been linked to different names, including iPhone Fold and iPhone Ultra. Several earlier reports claimed Apple could push the launch beyond the usual September window. Some reports suggested a December release, while others pointed to early 2027 because of engineering challenges and production concerns. Barclays previously claimed Apple could delay the foldable iPhone until December, which would give the company more time to manage production and avoid pressure on the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also said the device could arrive “a little bit delayed,” which suggested Apple could launch it shortly after the main iPhone 18 series rather than much later. Nikkei Asia later reported that engineering issues could push the device into early 2027, adding more uncertainty around Apple’s foldable iPhone plans. However, leaker Fixed Focus Digital has now rejected those claims and said reports of a long delay are “false.” The leaker says Apple still plans to launch the iPhone Ultra in September or October, with any delay limited to around one month. For now, Apple has not confirmed the foldable iPhone or its official name, but the latest claim points to a launch close to the iPhone 18 Pro timeline.
