I made an open source TUI app to practice Japanese

There are tonnes and tonnes of apps and websites like this one out there to help you learn Japanese or any language. What frustrates me is that they’ve a very garbage UI or they’re run by scumbags like the green tandoori bird company. So I decided to make one myself. As a Linux guy, you should be able to do everything from your terminal. And that includes your Japanese lessons too.

So far you can try: Hiragana, Katakana and N5 Level Kanji. I plan on adding more JLPT levels later on.

You can also turn on the Infinite Lives mode to disable the quiz mode entirely and practice without the fear of making mistakes.
