iPhone Ultra Delay Rumors Rejected by Supply Chain Sources

Apple's rumored foldable iPhone, which many reports now refer to as the iPhone Ultra, still appears on track for a September debut despite recent claims that the device had been delayed. Several reports now point to the same timeline, suggesting that Apple has not changed its launch plans even though the premium foldable may arrive in limited quantities during its first release. According to Chinese financial outlet Cailian Press, several companies in Apple's supply chain confirmed that production has entered its busiest stage and that work continues as scheduled for a September launch. "The design and production of the folding phone had entered peak production. They said that there was no change in the delivery time date in September, denying rumors of product postponement." Initial supply may remain limited While multiple supply chain reports reject claims of a major delay, they also suggest that buyers should prepare for limited availability at launch. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously said that strong demand and production constraints could result in shipping estimates stretching to four to six weeks or even longer for early customers. Meanwhile, other reports indicate that manufacturing has already moved into mass production, with Foxconn reportedly expanding hiring to support large scale assembly. Earlier concerns about hinge testing also appear to have eased, although they may still affect the number of units available during the first wave of shipments. Current rumors suggest the foldable iPhone will feature a 7.8 inch inner display, a 5.5 inch cover display, the A20 chip, a Touch ID power button, and a starting price between $2,000 and $2,500. Apple has also reportedly increased its production target to around 10 million units, reflecting stronger expectations for the company's first foldable iPhone.
