In January 2013, Samsung released a concept video featuring a 16:10 smartphone that folds out into a 4:3 tablet. 13 years later, it's finally a reality with the latest Galaxy Z Fold 8.
This year, Samsung fans have a different choice when it comes to foldables. The Fold comes in two flavors: The "wide" model that's been extensively leaked breaks cover as the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the familiar taller design returns in the form of the Fold 8 Ultra. I've had a few hours with each of them ahead of launch, so let's get into what's new, what's different between the two, and whether the move this year is to go WIDE with your Fold.
