AppleCare Theft and Loss Is Not Automatic: Apple Requires Find My to Stay On

Adding AppleCare with Theft and Loss coverage to a new iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Duo or Apple Watch this week does not, by itself, guarantee a claim gets paid later. Apple’s own theft and loss claims page states the coverage requires Find My to have been turned on at the time the device was lost or stolen, and to stay on for the entire claims process....
