Why there isn't a single source of truth for both GTK and Qt at the same time?

Always making linux desktops a mess by refusing to share colors, fonts, and so on. Why? Should I blame the egos? Ignorance? Is this something that some distros fixed by themselves? Is there any standardization in the works? Why is the desktop such a mess and having a consistent UX/UI across the ecosystem is still not a thing in 2026? submitted by... Weiterlesen
