Can Someone Help? Kodi on Raspberry Pi 3 B+ Loses (?) USB Drive?

Linux Tipps vom 12.01.2019 um 19:11 Uhr | Quelle reddit.com

Hello all,

I'm running 17.6 on a RP3B+ as mentioned and I recently added a Lexar JumpDrive S57 128GB USB Flash Drive to the device (replacing a smaller ScanDisk USB Flash Drive).

Everything worked fine for like 5 minutes (working fine here, to be clear, meaning Kodi played back the video files stored on the Lexar drive). However, after that ~5 minutes the playback stopped (just went away) and the File Manager didn't see the drive.

I pulled the Lexar drive out, plugged it back in, and still nothing.

Curiously, I formatted the drive and gave it a new name then put it back in. This time Kodi saw the drive, played the file, and ~5 mins in repeated the "forgetting" behavior.

This isn't an HDD needing additional power so I'm not sure what to and I'm hopeful some of the bright minds on here will be able to help.

Thanks in advance to any who try!
