After a long break, the developer of the GeckoLinux operating system proudly announced today, November 4, 2016, the general availability of a new set of updated editions of his GeckoLinux Rolling distribution. GeckoLinux Rolling 999.161031 is now the latest version of the GNU/Linux distribution, and it appears to be a total rebase with a brand new kernel from the Linux 4.8 series (version 4.8.4), as well as recent components like the GNU C Library 2.24, FreeType2 2.7, Qt 5.7.0, and systemd 228.
