I am getting a lot of Google Authenticator requests. Any way to stop this?

Hello there. I know, one of these questions again, and I'm sorry, but I'm also at my wits end to be honest. I've used Google, searched through reddit, and I just don't know if I have any other options left, so I'll try to keep it short.

I have had my Google account for ages, specially for YouTube and Drive. I barely use my Gmail, although I occasionally log in on sites through google when I'm too lazy to create an account. I am somewhat aware of security risks, therefore I never use my Google log in on sites that might be shady in any way. My main mail adress is from another provider, though.

In the last couple of weeks I have been getting daily Google Authenticator prompts that someone is either trying to log in (I have changed my password since the first try) or trying to recover my account (daily, now). All requests are from the US, they're always using Windows NT.

According to Googles security summary everything is okay and no weird devices have access to my account, but the daily prompts are quite annoying. I also have no way of checking previous, failed attempts, other than the message I get from Authenticator. They just pop up, and if I don't see them right away, they disappear after a while. But I'm always a bit worried I might one day accidentally press the wrong button and mess up.

So somehow that account is slightly compromised, even though it's barely used as a log-in/email. I guess it's hard to prevent something like this sooner or later nowadays, but at least they can't get access.

Is there anything I can do to make it stop? Is there anything else I need to do other than keeping the Authenticator and deal with the annoying prompts? Can I somehow change Google's log in alias (as I did with my other email) to prevent this? Would doing this, if possible, mess up my other "signed in with Google" accounts?
