Your knowledge counts — guest article guidelines

Why your contribution belongs here

tsecurity.de thrives on the insights of its community: admins, analysts, pentesters and developers who work in IT security every day. A guest article is the most direct way to give that knowledge back — it appears instantly in the community feed, carries your name (or alias) as the author and counts towards your ranking among the community's top analysts.

What we look for
  • Substance — analyses, workarounds, hardening guides, incident lessons learned or code snippets others can follow and apply.
  • Verifiable claims — cite sources, CVE IDs or repositories; the form below has a dedicated field for references (source / GitHub link).
  • Clear structure — Markdown is supported (headings, lists, code blocks). An opening sentence that sets the context helps every reader.
  • Responsible disclosure — describe what the vulnerability is, who is affected and how to mitigate it. Working exploit code does not belong in a community article.
  • No ads, no clickbait — articles exist for knowledge sharing, not self-promotion.
  • Respect & privacy — no personal data of third parties, constructive tone even for critical findings.
Quick check before you submit
  1. Does the title say what readers will learn?
  2. Is the core insight visible in the first sentences?
  3. Are sources, CVEs or repositories linked?
  4. Does the text really contain no third-party personal data?
  5. Is the consent box ticked (section 4a of our terms + privacy policy)?

Your article is published to the community feed immediately and reviewed by the editors afterwards. Section 4a of our terms covers the rules for submitted content; the privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

After submitting — what happens next

From submission to discussion

  1. Instantly live — your article appears immediately in the community feed, sorted into the category you picked (e. g. malware, pentesting, programming).
  2. Reader feedback — the community can comment, vote and report articles; karma points grow with the reactions your articles receive.
  3. Editorial review — editors review new articles shortly after publication. Articles that follow the rules stay untouched; we comment on or retract violations.
  4. Visible reputation — every article grows your author profile in the reputation ranking.
Frequently asked questions

Markdown or plain text? Both. Markdown (headings, lists, code blocks) is automatically converted to safe HTML on publication.

How long should an article be? As short as possible, as long as necessary — from a 200-word workaround to a lengthy analysis, everything is welcome as long as it has substance.

Can I reference a news item or vulnerability? Yes — use the source field for links and mention CVE IDs (e. g. CVE-2025-12345) in the text; it helps the community classify your finding quickly.

Can I correct a published article? Drop us a line via the contact details in the imprint — we will take care of it promptly.
