CVE-2026-63940 | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SEV: Ignore Port I/O requests of length '0' Explicitly ignore Port I/O requests of length '0' (or count '0'), so that setting up the software scratch area (and other code) doesn't have to worry about underflowing the length, and to allow for WARNing on trying to configure the scratch area with len==0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

KVM: SEV: Ignore Port I/O requests of length '0'

Explicitly ignore Port I/O requests of length '0' (or count '0'), so that
setting up the software scratch area (and other code) doesn't have to
worry about underflowing the length, and to allow for WARNing on trying
to configure the scratch area with len==0.

Integer Overflow or Wraparound 🎯 Medium

The product performs a calculation that can produce an integer overflow or wraparound when the logic assumes that the resulting value will always be larger than the original value. This occurs when an integer value is incremented to a value that is too large to store in the associated representation. When this occurs, the value may become a very small or negative number.

🛡️ Empfohlene Mitigation: Ensure that all protocols are strictly defined, such that all out-of-bounds behavior can be identified simply, and require strict conformance to the protocol.
