I have a laptop from years back. The best thing about it is the Blu-ray drive and a with nice 1600x900 screen, it could be a fine portable media laptop. However, the 2-core processor is quite slow. Even with an SSD, Windows 10 is somewhat sluggish.
A helpful anon suggested that I put Linux on it instead. Would that work? All I need is a system capable of text editing, accessing the web, possibly light games and watching Blu-rays on the go. Is there a Linux system that could do that and wouldn't overwhelm my smol brain?
