Hey there, my name's Corey Lennox. I run a moderately successful Facebook page, and recently I've been getting a slew of messages offering "paid promotion", but they're in broken english, from shady Facebook accounts, and something feels really off.
I've received 4 or 5 requests from people at "Buzzfeed Megazine?" or "Bored Panda" (except when I reached out to Bored Panda there was no record of the supposed employee who contacted me)
My question is- what's the scam? They don't ask for access to my account, they all say the content promotion would be done through Facebook's own native Brand Collaborations tool. Payment would be through Paypal, so they wouldn't need any bank info...
What are they hoping to gain from this and how?
