The live-action Borderlands film set to be released by Lionsgate has found its director. Horror director and noted Splat Pack member Eli Roth has earned the role, according to the studio. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said how excited he was for Roth to join the Borderlands family. Roth echoed this sentiment on his own Twitter.
Roth is known for his work on horror movies such as Cabin Fever and Hostel, along with his use of an excessive amount of blood. Given the amount of blood and guts in the Borderlands universe, it seems he'll fit right in.
