I have a Xiaomi phone and so far I've been using the fingerprint unlock. The thing is I'm starting to become a little paranoid and I don't want to use fingerprint anymore, I don't want people to be able to unlock my phone with my finger if I'm sleeping (already happened once) or I don't know, unconscious.
So, my other options are: Password, PIN and Pattern (3x3).
I was thinking in which one to choose, and these are the things I noticed:
- Passsword -> PRO: very secure, CON: inconvenient
- PIN -> PRO: very convenient, CON: easier than password to be brute forced
- Pattern -> PRO: easy to use, CON: people can see it from a distance
What are your thoughts about it? so far I have changed to password, but because of the inconvenience, I set just for 6 characters (numbers and letters), I think 6 alphanumeric characters is more secure than 6 digits for the PIN right? From the 3 I'd still prefer the pattern but it's very easy to see it from a distance, so I think I gave up on this option.
