๐ Is there any way to make linux work as smooth as Macbook in regards to how easy it is to just close the lid when on break, and open it later and get back to work?

Sorry for the obscure question. I'm not a Linux savvy but I love really love the OS.
The thing that stands in my way of going all in is the battery drainage when sleeping.
My work MacBook can sleep for days without drainage. I love the fact that I can close the lid instead of having to turn it on and off all the time.
I've installed power utilities on my Ubuntu (Acer aspire nitro) and experimented with hibernation settings ect. I got some tips to change the swap size. Not sure yet if it's worth the hassle.
Basically I just wonder if anyone here has got this ordeal to work? I don't need to know how (even tho some tips and tricks are welcome). I just need to know if it's even possible!
