ASRock has made available new BIOS package developed for several of its motherboards, which manage to improve USB, system, Linux, and DRAM compatibility, as well as update Intel Microcode and Management Engine (ME).
In addition to that, the present releases also update the TPM module, change the BIOS password behavior for increased protection, as well as add support for HDD with Advanced Format 4K sector size.
When it comes to installation, ASRock has provided three downloadable archives, each describing different update methods, namely Windows, DOS, and Instant Flash update procedures.
To be clear, downloading Instant Flash file requires you to extract the archive onto a removable storage and execute it from within the BIOS setup menu; if you choose the Windows package, you must unzip and run it from a Windows operating system.
Last but not least, the DOS package should be extracted and executed from a DOS prompt. Either way, upon completion, make sure to reboot...
